Parents are advised that all children must have their immunizations, physicals, vision exams and dental exams up-to-date prior to starting school in August, 2023. No students will be allowed to enter school if their medical records are not in compliance with state law. Remember to schedule your appointments early in the summer and hand in all forms at registration.
Dental exams are required for students entering Kindergarten, Second, and Sixth grade.
Students entering Preschool for the first time need a school physical, immunizations, and a lead test. For students in their second year in preschool, they will not need an updated physical. Preschool children ages 24-59 months must show proof of receiving one dose of Pneumococcal Conjugate vaccine and one dose of the Hib vaccine if they have not already received their primary series.
Kindergarten students need a school physical, dental exam, vision exam, and updated immunizations. Kindergarten students will also need a lead test, if there is not one on file from preschool.
Sixth grade students need a school physical and updated immunization record. This physical will also be accepted as a sport physical. Students entering 6th grade must show proof of having received a Tdap vaccine, and one dose of Meningococcal Conjugate vaccine (on or after the 11th birthday). Sports physicals are required for students entering into 5th, 7th and 8th grades if they want to participate in sports.
