A special "thank you" goes out to Jenny Barrie from the LaSalle County Health Department who visited the 3rd grade classes at Lincoln School today. She presented a program called “Fighting Bac!” The students learned how to keep safe during cold and flu season and how to fight cross-contamination of foods.

The fifth grade girls' basketball team ended their season last night! Great job Lady Bulldogs! The 6th grade won against JFK last night (21-6) and play their last game tomorrow night against Marquette!
The Climate and Culture Team revamped the spirit stick for Washington School! Instead of a whole class winning a stick for the highest percentage of spirited kiddos, we are now looking for that one individual that goes above and beyond in each one of the grade levels. The spirit award winner receives a one time pass for technology at lunch!!! They are also recognized with their spirit pom pom on their locker! Winners of Neon Day are Stella H., Aubrey H., and Nati H.! Way to go!

Don't forget! Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 29th is picture day for new students and students who were absent on Fall Picture Day at Lincoln School. It is also picture day for the 4th and 5th Grade Band students at Lincoln. There will also be junior high choir, band and cheer pictures at 3:20 p.m. at Washington School!

Red Day for the start of Red Ribbon Week at Lincoln School!
Ms. Simpson's first grade students filled their gumball machine to earn a sleepover-themed party last week! They did some "slumber" (number) bonds, designed and wrote about their own pajamas, decorated sleep masks, made friendship bracelets, did some flashlight reading with plushies, played games, and learned all about the science of sleep!

Mrs. Myer's 6th grade students participated in an election process this morning to learn how the electoral college works! The Hamburgers won!
Preschool had their Fall Festival Event last night with students and family members decorating pumpkins, taking a spooky vocabulary word walk, as well as taking home some fun activities to do later!
