Marnie had a great first week with the 4th Grade students going for walks outside, playing fetch in the office and giving lots of kisses!
Mrs. Porter’s 3rd grade class earned extra TRIP (Time Reading In Peace) minutes. They chose to read outside on this beautiful day!
The new "Snap Shots" Photography Club at Washington School had their first meeting yesterday! Mrs. Goff-Rietgraf-Zimmer is helping the students explore different photography techniques, experimenting with cameras and settings and how to take the best action shots, critiquing shots taken, and strategizing the best positons/locations for shots! The club members will be capturing exciting moments at the school including actions shots at sporting events and spirit days! If anyone missed the opportunity to join the club, another meeting date will be announced soon.

Special thanks to Karilynn Orr, Internet Safety & Prevention Specialist from the Illinois Attorney General's Office (ICAC Task Force), who presented Digital Safety Education to the 3-5 students at Lincoln School and to the community last night. The Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force delivers training to children, teens, and parents/guardians, providing valuable information on how to stay safe and avoid online risks.

Preschool Teddy Bear Picnic!
Today was Marnie's last visit with the 5th grade students and she will start with the 4th grade next week! The students have been wonderful with Marnie and she looks forward to their visits each day! She took a long nap after the students left today!
