The Climate and Culture Committee at Washington School recently created an OPS scarecrow for the City of Oglesby contest. A committee from the city will vote on them within five different categories including business, departments, clubs, family and or schools. The judging is based on creativity, technique/materials, and impression, and will take place on October 8th. Good luck to our OPS entry! Way to go Climate and Culture Committee!
A couple lucky students from Washington School were able to take a tour of Daley’s Service Station this past week. Thank you to Mr. Dan Daley for taking time to answer all our students’ questions and for being a great friend and neighbor to Washington School!

Orland Park Dental Services will be coming to OPS on 11/1 and 11/4! Eligible students will receive a cleaning, fluoride treatment, and sealants if needed. Sealants are a protective coating on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth. This program is offered for all grades, but the state requires K, 2nd, & 6th graders to have a mandatory dental exam prior to May 15, 2025. This dental exam will fulfill this requirement.
