We currently have preschool openings for the 2025-2026 school year. If your child is at least 3 years of age or turns 3 this school year, they are eligible. Preschool has a.m. classes from 8:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and p.m. classes from 12:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please contact Kim in the preschool office for more information (815-883-9297, ext. 124).

Marnie, our therapy dog at Lincoln School, was back to work this week and she was very excited to see the students! Marnie will be at arrivals each morning to greet her friends and she started taking daily strolls with the fifth grade students! Marnie will also do classroom visits/story time in preschool this year and K-5 students will be able to use their bulldog bucks to earn time in the office with Marnie. Marnie is always available to those students or staff who need a cuddle during a difficult time. We hope she brings joy, smiles, and a calming presence to our building!

There is an athletic meeting for all students who are looking to participate in extracurricular activities tonight, August 25th, at Washington School. There is a mandatory requirement to fill out this form before your child can participate in extracurricular activities. This meeting will start promptly at 5:30pm in the Washington gymnasium.

The K-5 students at Lincoln School enjoyed art classes this week with our new art teacher, Ms. Tillman!
We are looking forward to seeing all of our preschool students this Monday, August 25th, for their first day of classes!
Tomorrow is Bulldog Blast Day at Lincoln School! This event was rescheduled from last year due to weather. The event is provided from the proceeds from the S.O.S. fall fundraiser last year. Students will get to participate in fun activities that include different inflatables and obstacle courses. In order to participate on them students have to wear socks. Please also send a clean pair of socks for students to change into after they come back inside. Thank you and we are looking forward to a fun day to cap the first week of school!
We had a great first day at Lincoln School! It was great to welcome back our students and start the new school year! Parents just a couple of quick reminders regarding arrival and dismissal procedures.
For arrival our doors open at 8:15. Please be mindful of buses and not passing them when their sign is out. All car riders should be dropped off at the middle doors using the bus lane. Please do not walk students across the street into traffic.
At Dismissal please remember that students who are walkers are released first from the south entrance . We load buses next and then run the car line. Please remain in your car and do not walk up to the middle doors. Please also be mindful that early on the buses may be running a little behind schedule as drivers adjust to the routes.
