Congratulations to the 7th Grade Girls' Basketball team for the Second Place win in the Vermilion Grade School Conference Tournament! The 7th grade team secured the #1 seed in their regional assignment at Seneca, and they will play November 13th at 4:30 p.m. Go Lady Bulldogs!


OPS SPIRIT DAY!


Washington School will be hosting a Veterans' Day Concert Friday, November 10th from 2:30 to 2:45 p.m. in honor and memory of our veterans. The doors will open at 2:15 p.m. to veterans and all of our OPS families to hear our band play patriotic songs on this important holiday!

The Annual Food Drive begins today!
The Washington School Student Council will run their annual food drive November 1st through November 10th. The food collected during the drive will be donated to the Illinois Valley Food Pantry. The class that collects the most items at Lincoln and at Washington will win a pizza party.

Members of the 4th and 5th Grade Band did a great job performing for the K-5 students today at Lincoln School!





Mrs. Heiden's class did a pumpkin tower challenge this morning where the students used toothpicks and gel pumpkins to build the tallest tower!





Congrats to the 7th grade girls' basketball team on their win last night against Waltham (40-38)! They are headed to the conference championship and play this Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. vs. Wallace! Go Lady Bulldogs!


The first grade students at Lincoln participated in a STEAM activity in the library building a gate for the Five Little Pumpkins!

If you are stopping by Lincoln School tomorrow, Tuesday, October 31st for the parade, be sure to check out the Fall Themed and Spooky artwork created by our talented students and staff! Lincoln School students will parade in their costumes beginning at 2:15 p.m. along Bennett Avenue. Prior to the parade, classrooms will have their Halloween parties. After parading in their costumes, they will return to their classrooms. Parents in attendance may sign their child out following the parade. Students not signed out will remain in their classroom until the usual dismissal time. Students should not wear their costumes to school. There will be time to change into costumes prior to the parade. Please be sure that costumes do not depict violence - no play knives, guns, sharp objects, and no gory costumes depicting blood or violence. Students who do not follow these guidelines will not be allowed to participate in the parade.
